  3. Eligibility       

Bachelor's degree in Science with 50%marks in aggregate (40% for Sc/St/Cat-1 and 45% for OBC) with statistics as one of the optional subjects

Significance of the Course and Facilities

The role of statistics as a means of data analysis and decision making under uncertainty has expanded vastly in the past few years. Decisions regarding planning, development spread of services, etc., whether on the national scale or at a local scale are all based on statistical analysis. Also, industries, bio pharmaceutics, insurance, investments, market research etc are major users of statistical methodology. Statistical methods play an important role in quality matters as laid down in the current ISO standards.

Facilities: Digital Classroom, Computer Lab and Sufficient Books in the Library

Research: PhD programs will be introduced soon.
