Library Membership
The following members of Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University are eligible to obtain library membership
- Students – UG and PG, including Students of Certificate, Diploma and Post- Diploma programs.
- Research scholars (Ph D, M Phil, PDF).
- Faculty of Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University.
- Guest Faculty.
- Research Associates or Research Workers involved in funded projects.
- Non-teaching Staff Members.
- Alumni.
In addition to the above the following can also become members
- Libraries of affiliated colleges.
- Women in general.
However students, research scholars, teachers from other Universities and institutions and others interested can also use the library for reference with the permission of the University Librarian for a specific duration.
The visitors have to provide their identification proof (viz. Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID etc.,).

3.The issued books can be renewed three times.
4.All the books shall be returned on or before the due date mentioned in the Due-Date-Slip. After the due date a fine of Rs. 1/day will be charged for first week later Rs. 5/- per day.
5.Library reserves the right to recall any issued book even before the due date
6.The student’s borrower’s card will be tenable for a period of one year only and shall not be transferable but can be renewed for another year.
7.Borrowers must satisfy themselves with the physical condition of books before borrowing. The borrower shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning the book. Members are responsible for books issued against their lost tickets. If a borrower loses an issued book, he/she has to pay 5 times the cost of book or shall replace the lost book with latest edition.
8.Members shall be held responsible for the loss & misuse of ID card. Duplicate ID card will be issued at the cost of Rs.250.00 along with a request letter and an FIR copy
