Bio-fuel Research Information and Demonstration centre, ksawu Vijayapura is sanctioned in the year 2010 by Karnataka state Bio-fuel Development board. Since from the inception the centre actively engaged in conducting the Bio-fuel awareness programmes to the students and rural communities also trainings are conducted for the production of Bio Diesel using waste cooking oil and non-edible oils. | |

The centre is involved in the extension activities such as production of Cake and Oil from various plants (Jatropha, Neem & amp; Simaroba, Pongamia etc.) The oil and cake are sold to
Farmers with reasonable price for the horticulture crops applications. The centre is facilitating the research support to the Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women University students
and various Engineering college students of Vijayapur district.
